Had my second experience of Relief Society today, it was wonderful. being able to come together with all these faithful women, and have mature, intent discussions is incredible.

Today we were talking about self worth and what effects occur when we stop putting ourselves down. That's always been a problem of mine, as I'm sure it has for all women. One statement in particular definitely impressed me: Every time we mock ourselves, we are mocking God and his creations.

 

It's so true.

 

 

As an artist, I know how painful it is every time my creations get critiqued. Especially if I had put my heart and soul into the project. So each time we judge either ourselves or others, we're not only insulting them, we're insulting our father who created us.

First week of college? Complete. And I'm sure my introduction to this new life of mine foreshadows the rest of my adventure.
I've had plenty of firsts this week:

• first college class
• first time pumping my own gas
• first real job
• first roommates
• first time in singles ward
• first time losing my keys
• first time saying a prayer to start class
• first time visiting a mortuary... (its a long story, don't worry, no one died..)

Anyways, one of the classes I'm taking this summer is an introduction to photography. That's kinda the reason I'm doing this blog, because I want to see the progression of my knowledge of the art. :)
